Ton und Kirschen ist ein Wandertheater, das 1992 von Margarete Biereye und David Johnston in der Nähe von Berlin gegründet wurde. Seitdem entstanden unter ihrer künstlerischen Leitung 14 Produktionen. 

Heute gehören zum Ton und Kirschen acht Schauspieler und Musiker aus Deutschland, England, Frankreich und Kolumbien. 

Als Wandertheater spielen sie oft im Ausland, in Frankreich und Polen, in Indien, Kolumbien, Korea und Marokko... 

A wooden horse pulls a metal head up a mast. The head begins to sing 'Das Lied von der Erde' from Gustave Mahler. A tiny figure climbs around inside the head... people in torn umiforms race across the space, call to each other in strange languages and bring figures made of cloth and wood to life. 

Ton und Kirschen is an international theatre based near Potsdam. Since the founding of the group nineteen years ago, Ton und Kirschen has travelled the world (France, Poland, India, Colombia...).
